Willian/William (not sure how it's spelled -- everything when he signed said Willian but MiLB says William) Lugo and Adrian Hernandez are also fairly big-ticket IFAs and interesting

it's a fun team for sure

Me too, and I thought it belonged on the main Mets forum in a thread about our bullpen.

AHern hit a homer

AHern, Baty, Lugo, Alvarez is a sexy 1-2-3-4.

Brett Baty, 3B, Mets. Baty hit his first professional home run, a grand slam, for the Gulf Coast League Mets. The 2019 first rounder has hit in all five games he has played thus far while driving in at least one run in four of those contests.

Not really -- I'm sure this was the plan and they just wanted to get some eyes on him first

He's too advanced for the GCL

As is Alvarez. I'd be surprised if he's there another week. Anyone know when Allan or Wolf debut?

Baty's two years older than Alvarez and played high-level high school baseball as opposed to the DSL, but, yeah, if Alvarez keeps hitting like this he won't be in that league long
