2.20 is also Jason Vargas's whip, and Anthony Swarzak has thrown 220 pitches this season.

Frazier has a 2.20 (b)WAR through 9/20/2018

(Jay Bruce has a -0.6... On par with Adrian Gonzalez and ahead of Jose Reyes, but behind Hansel Robles and Matt Harvey)

Jay Bruce was fucking injured before he was out because of injury...i don't know why people don't seem to understand that...now that he's back healthy, he's back to what you expect of him

A smart baseball player should be able to identify that they are injured.

Benny I had hope for you a couple of weeks ago. You seemed like you knew Bruce was garbage. Don’t fall for this.

Bruce is not garbage...i just don't think he needs to be on this team...you guys seem to forget last year and how he's playing after coming back from injury this year and only focus on how he was playing when he was injured

alright, im just gonna bow out defending Bruce...these are some great hot takes though...good reaching

and to clarify, all I'm saying is that Bruce is not as bad as everyone wants him to be, but with that said, I really hope he's not on the team to start next year(always have to ultra-clarify for the Joey Dirt's of this board)

All that's fair, but given the bolded, why even bother Brown Knighting for him so much?

because people are stupid...Jay Bruce is not that bad...he had a bad first half while he was playing through injury, and people can't get past that...they completely dismiss his last season with us and how he's playing now that he's healthy

Or we could use the odd/even theory to say he will hit .250 with 30+ HR next year.

But I doubt it.

i mean, that's what he does, but with that said, I'd hope he does it for someone else...our corner OF spots are already filled and we should be giving Alonso and Smith a chance to play 1st base...trade Bruce for bullpen help and then sign a real CFer
