I don't think people develop bat speed even with reworking their mechanics, so hopefully there was more there than you saw

The only thing I remember thinking was that he really seemed to have no strength.

He looked like the "before" picture in the ad for fitness equipment.

I also remember hearing from somebody what an awesome golfer he was and that he could legit try to play on the tour.

McNeil finishes AA with an ISO over .300 and a K-rate under 10%. That's just insane

Position players are pretty weak now, yeah. Hope Mazeika gets it going. Still a few interesting pitchers. Dunn and Crismatt for starters, Bashlor and Ryan for relievers.

Because so many hitters are changing their swings and hitting approach to hit more fly balls and it's working, it makes a guy like McNeil seem more viable. It makes you think it's more likely that he really changed something.

either way he's a versatile player, i feel like a team filled with a lot of guys that can play multiple positions is the best combination of keeping starters fresh.

guillorme can play 2b/ss/3b well
mcneil can play 2b/3b/ well and can also play 1b/ss/lf/rf
my boy evans can play every position well

the mets bench is reyes who can't field anymore, flores who's a 1b that's god awful, plawecki who plays 1b because there's nobody else, and a bunch of outfielders.

Evans has been DFA'd twice since last November and hasn't been claimed either time

Because it’s the Mets if we keep him he won’t be anything but if we trade him he will become the next Justin turner.
