haha, I was wondering because I was like I'm pretty sure the Blue Jays signed some other pitcher besides Bud Norris and Buchholz because I remember being annoyed last week about another pitcher coming off the board for cheap...that's why I made the comment "the blue jays are signing all the guys we should be signing"

His season debut....so far so good.

He’d look so much better slotted in as the #5 instead of Vargas.

His line so far is 2 IP, 3 H. We really gonna do this after 2 IP on the season?

While it's ridiculously early, think of it on these terms - how many starts will it take for Vargas to match the six quality innings the Jay's got from Bucholz last night?

Guy was the perfect 5th starter for us shame they passed on him and showed faith in a steaming pile of dog shit instead!

Hmm, well he's thrown like 0 so far, so at his current pace, infinity I guess.

Still pissed about missing the boat with Clay.

Money wasted on excess middle infielders could have instead been used for a legitimate 5th starter. Oh well.

Buccholz was the perfect guy to add...didn't need to be guaranteed a spot and seemed perfectly fine with splitting the 5th spot in the rotation with someone else...someone like Keuchel will need that spot in the rotation, so if they were willing to give Vargas a chance, signing him would not have made sense...Buccholz was the smart add!

Yes. I was on Clay since he pitched lights out last year for AZ...and it looks like I was right, at least for a #5 who signed for peanuts.
