Only the first 2 and they're just "maybes" in the 90-100 range.

MLB.com has no Mets, though not sure when they last updated (sometimes they take the mid-year rankings and just delete guys who were promoted to the majors/had a decent amount of ABs)

Pickles,

Any thoughts you want to share on the Mets next 5 (top 15) or next 10 (top 20)?

Thanks.

Dunn is amazing. Great first year. Really looking forward to our #3 prospect making it all happen in the bigs.

I ranked my top 18 tonight for the website and working on the Mets for the book. My top 10 has changed some. After seeing David Thompson in the AFL, I’m pushing him into my top ten. Maybe 6-8 area. Everyone is hurt or sucks. Ranking my six organizations, they’d be last among ATL, CHW, MIL, CIN & ARI. The top prospect org in baseball is a battle between ATL and SDP. I’d give the edge to the Padres right now.

Without giving up too much info, what changed your mind on Thompson? Glove at 3B better than expected, bat speed/power better than expected, or are you just that low on the system?

From the looks of it everyone hit in the AFL this year. Kaczmarski seems like he could be a fringe-y Nimmo-light type.

I know questions are hit or miss, but any thoughts you want to share on Kevin Kaz? Shot at a 5th/6th OF who might see majors this year? Mets OF is so thin right now I'm thinking he probably has a shot.

Kaczmarski does a lot of things well. He works pitchers and uses a solid bat-to-ball approach to rack up a high number of singles. He struggled, as I thought he would, making consistent hard contact in the upper minors. Kacz has above-average speed and will take chances on the bases with a very poor success rate overall. He's limited to the corners regularly defensively but can play CF in a pinch if needed. Without a carry-tool, He's a tweeter. There is a chance he may carve out a career as a reserve OF. Hitting smarts will take him further than most with that projection. He should be a MLB player at some point. I'm undecided about whether he'll have a regular position on the 25 man roster. Iím leaning towards a few cups of coffee over a bench bat. Q

I mostly copied and pasted that from the last time I was asked about Kacz somewhere else. I changed up some of the language because I was talking in fantasy terms.

I guess. I covered him for the book but he wasn't in my top 18. Probably because I'm tired of writing him up.
