Just gotta get through this month at .500 then we'll be in good shape... then .500 the following month... then the month after that... maybe if all the top teams in the NL East can be at .500 until the last week of the season then we can be poised to get a playoff spot! After that ANYTHING can happen! Just gotta get through this tough 162 game schedule where it's just bad luck with the schedule that 70% of the teams we face are very tough. Not that the Mets roster is decimated or weak. It's just that almost every team we face just so happens to be so tough! Stupid schedule makers! Don't they know they should only schedule the 10 teams worse than the Mets against them every year?

Yes 2 teams in our division are good and only 2 teams in the entire NL are actually trying to tank

Wow, only two of those 12 series are against teams with losing records (SF & COL) and we play them early on in this stretch. And six of these series are against teams that are 10+ games over .500. Fasten your seatbelts.

Gotta steal one of the next three and then take 2 of 3 from Diamondbacks. Maybe one of our aces will decide its time to pitch like one

Welcome to the big leagues son.

This game really was the definition of being outclassed. Their offense is relentless, which made deGrom work hard enough to only make it through 5 and badly exposed our lack of bullpen depth. Not to mention the three runners thrown out on the bases.

Matz and Syndergaard are going to have to be VERY good to have a shot to beat this team.

the dodgers are the best team in the NL and the mets are a flawed team that needs a lot to break right to be good, who also happens to have half the team out with injuries.

not a good combination.

The Mets are overachieving with the roster they have right now. They're going to get steamrolled and buried if they don't start getting healthy soon.

by "fun" do you mean "frustration" as the team hovers around .500 for a while
