We are only 2 behind the Pads in run differential who are only 3 back in wc.

in 2007, the Mets managed to blow a 7 game lead in the division over the course of 17 days, so anything is possible

Oh, I have very little doubt that this team performs okay in the 2nd half and finishes like 80-82 because they are the Mets.

There's more parity in teams this year than I've seen in the past. And those teams that are 2nd city teams also have some amazing talent... Tatis Jr for Pads, Josh Bell for Pirates and it goes on from there. Cincy has a very good pitching staff... the kind you can build around.

We play pretty well at their level... and so, we're in that group. The eltite teams which obviously are last year's champs... we really aren't even very close to.

The one thing that I kind of have faith in... is it wouldn't surprise me to see us play well in any post season game we play in. Right up to the part where we have to use our bullpen.

The beauty of the 2-wildcards system. Allows even baseball's pure unadulterated bowel movement teams the illusion that they're still in it. I can't imagine this team putting together a winning streak. The stars have to align for 3 straight wins. (The only team worse than them in the NL for the first 2, pitching out of a bases loaded mess in the 9th for win #3)

Neither can I, but stranger things have happened.

Now it seems Conforto might be heating up, along with Rosario. But Alonso is in a bit of a swoon and he's the key to this offense.

Anyway, gotta be impressed with the pitching yesterday, especially the pen, though Diaz gave me a few more ulcers.

It’s the nine team part...statistically that’s threading the needle while on fire and riding a tricycle.

the Mets next 7 series are against teams that are currently under .500...if there was any time for the Mets to make up ground, it's now...after tonight's game, we don't play a team that is currently over .500 until August 9th

Imagine watching this Mets bullpen in a playoff game or series.

You are an incredible human being.

If I'm ever stuck on a deserted island, I want it to be with Benny.

Having him scream, 'Today! Today is the day they find us! I can feel it!', would keep my morale high and hope alive.

dude, what is your issue? all I said was that if there was ever a time, now is the time...never did I say I expect it to happen...why do you want everyone to be miserable?
