No 1 year commitment under $10M should be an albatross. Even Bruce's deal should barely be one

Ok fine I don’t care about the semantics but the point remains that Brodie didn’t have the option of adding the OPs players instead without an increase in payroll

The Mets could have done the same thing Seattle did but ownership would probably want to keep them once they got off to good starts

Why would we believe in a player thatís hit .330 at every level heís played at?

When your only offseason addition that has actually worked out well is JD Davis, doing nothing might have been a better decision

Btw, Diaz for a 57 saves guy does not look intimidating as a Chapman or Hader.
Cashman shits on Brodie
No mention yet of also having Kelenic & Dunn, had we done this? You guys are slipping.

what if the Mets had acquired Realmuto for Nimmo and Rosario that would mean no Cano or DIaz and Ramos.

c- realmuto
1b-alonso
2b- mcneil
ss-?
3b- davis/ toddfather
lf-confortp
cf-?
rf- bruce

Superimpose the 2000 Bullpen onto this team and tell me that they suck. Seriously. For all the faults Steve Phillips had and there were many... building a bullpen is something he did well.

If Familia was actually worth his weight, we would actually have two solid relievers instead of none. Imagine if Ottavino were dealt by the TD... what would he net in return? Something of value no doubt. Did we get any player at all in return for Familia? Name them... I can't even find an article that actually says who the fuck they are.

What I see at every level is a team that isn't really all that concerned with winning. It's about some image thing and pocketing money... along with PR Damage control (main priority) and they don't even do that well.

Killing us 20 times a year out of the leadoff spot just like Dee Gordon did

Mets got Bobby Wahl for Familia, and then traded him for Keon Broxton....so in other words, they got nothing for Familia
