If he doesn’t get a big contract next off season and I doubt he will considering he’s a year older, he didn’t do much except leave $42 million on the table

This guy is such a fool, I'm glad he's not a Met.

Plus, every time I saw this guy play in 2018, he sucked! Both when he played vs the Mets during the season
AND throughout post-season. He is Mr. Passed Ball. l I don't see the appeal.

Never understood why Spahn didn't go into the HOF as a Met.

Grandal for 1 year at $18 mil was more valuable than Ramos for 2 years at $18 mil

Try again in the off season, if we can find a taker for Ramos

If he takes 4 years for $64-70 this off season

That pretty much takes him to 5 years for 90 if you include this year

Sounds like they were never really close on the money, based on his quote at the bottom of the article

He wanted McCann, Martin, yadi mkney right

While Mets signaled willingness to go to $60 million for 4

That’s a big gap

I can see that...like, they may have been willing to go for 3+ years, but at a reduced rate per season...they'd never sign someone for one season for $18 mil...meanwhile, they gave a much lesser player $18 mil just so they'd be on the team for 2 seasons

Yeah I dont want a 4-5 year deal for a 31 year old catcher

We all know the likely outcome of that
