he just went #2 overall in my dynasty draft. apparently he's a fantasy stud. makes sense cause his tools are legit. looking around, he's pretty much the highest ceiling bat in this draft, from a fantasy perspective anyway. that translates to MLB success

He just went five in the experts draft Iím in. He was number two on my board, which I usually discriminate big time against HSíers in fantasy draft rankings. Did Mize or Bohm go first? My top five on the fantasy draft big board was 1. Bohm 2. Kelenic 3. Bart 4. Larnish 5. Madrigal. I got Bart. I donít believe in Mize staying healthy and there have been whispers about other pitchers falling because of medicals. Having a hard time betting on pitching this year when last year I was all over Gore and others.

Mize went #1. So far, just the 2 picks.

I have a slew of picks and need pitching badly. Haven't been overly impressed with what I expect to be there when I pick #11.

Yeah, man. I talked to an NL crosschecker scout who thought Weathers, even for a high school kid, is a safe bet. No whispers about injury problems, probably not a high ass ceiling but one of the better chances for MLB mid-rotation success. Daniel Lynch is intriguing. Made a mechanic correction this spring and gained velo. Several scouts I talked to had him 92-95 in the Appy. Ran into an NL area scout with Virginia coverage that said a few teams guessed wrong on him falling to the 2nd round. The scoutís team was one of them. First round talent. Everyone out thought themselves. It happens.

I have Weathers and Libertore high on my list. I like Kowar a lot too. Nolan Gorman may be the bat I go for if all are gone.

Thanks for the info on Lynch. He's someone I hadn't considered yet. I may pick your brain in the later rounds. That's where it gets fun!

Thereís a reason why Liberatore fell from what Iím told and it isnít anything relating to his stuff or his personality. I never got a read on Kowar. Others didnít either. Thatís why he fell. Iím a Gorman fan but as a scout told me, isnít Trevor Larnach already what we want Nolan Gorman be in 3 years.

Weíll definitely talk.

How realistic is a meteoric rise through the system?

Depends what your definition of meteoric is for a high schooler. Probably gonna be 3 years minimum.

He'll be 21 in 3 years so it's possible he could debut if he's a big time stud.

Position is what I look at most with hitters. I prefer the infield bat to the outfield bat, in most cases.

Following up, Bart went 3, Libertore 4, Weathers 5, and Singer just went 6.
