Not a prospect I'm going to get excited about (not even sure he's top ten in this system) but not going to get on the FO for taking him
All this.
And he fell a bit to the Mets because it was seemingly known he needed TJS.
(Also how the Mets kept the price down- sad trombone).

that's back to starts (12 IP) with no earned runs. His high walk rate may be the only thing keeping him from AA right now.

edit: never mind, I read that wrong. Thought he had thrown more innings in A+ ball

Tonight: 7 IP (complete game), 3 H, 1 BB, 0 R, 8 K
This season: 43.2 IP, 22 H, 16 BB, 7 R, 45 K

Trying to make us not forget about him!

He has been on fire this season, dominating AA, been watching his lines.

Hopefully one of Kay or Peterson step up to take a rotation spot next year, we're going to need them to

Figure they bring in one guy via signing or trade and give one of them the 5th spot. This assumes Wheeler is gone, which looks pretty much guaranteed at this point

this is my thinking as well. Will be crucial to have someone from within step up.

I think Wheeler signs with the home town Barves.

Doesn't seem to make much sense to let Wheeler walk because of price and then go after one of the other top options like a Gerrit Cole, but they won't get away with signing a budget FA option like Harvey and having a rookie in the rotation, so I'm sure that'll be the position we hear a ton of crazy trade rumors about next December

Peterson was pretty good in the second half of the double-header, fwiw

5 IP, 4 H, 1 R (HR), 7 K
Full season: 31.2 IP, 37 H, 16 ER, 14 BB, 35 K

Not great, but his last three starts have been better, and he's missing bats and generating ground balls like always

Gilliam with another really good outing, too: 2 IP, 4 K

Mazeika hit a walk-off grand slam

I mean the Mets can still sign Wheeler after he opts to be a free agent but we all know once that happens no way they outbid another team.

It seems like he has AA figured out. He should be at least headed to Syracuse by now.
If the kid can spend June dominating in Syracuse, a possible rotation booster for the second half would be nice.

They weren't just seven scoreless. He was perfect through five and only allowed a walk through seven.

He gonna get promoted once they finish draft and sort out the lower levels of farm but I really thing they gonna keep him in AA the entire yr and let him get 130 plus IP this yr to see if he finally over the hump from his injury

Plus it's still cool/cold up in Syracuse dont want him pitching in cold weather too much
