Seriously, you kinda undermined yourself comparing Coronado to a player with a career .630 OPS. The Offensive bar has to be higher then that for Coronado to have a career as a regular here, even with great defense.
True, but the offensive bar is way lower at second if you have plus-plus defense like Coronado does. So if you OPS around .700, you can be a regular. Not a GOOD regular, but a regular. Not saying he'll ever play on a regular basis for the Mets in his career or that he'll set the world on fire, but he can play as a regular SOMEWHERE.
