Default Guillorme updates with WTNS

I'm gonna keep this thread off the main board because I assume most don't want to hear about Luis Guillorme so I'll contain it to here

He went 4-4 tonight with a HR and SF, OBP up to .418, OPS up to .852

and, of course, it wouldn't be a Guillorme post without defense GIFs

I mean, coming into this season JD had put up a 60 OPS+ in twice the sample, and JD is a year-and-a-half older than Guillorme and plays bad defense at every position instead of good defense at a premium position

It's encouraging he is doing this in Syracuse and not Vegas. Still they would have to decide to move Rosario to CF. With Gomez getting the DFA you might get your wish soon.

I was thinking sliding Rosario to 3B after trading Frazier. Rosario moving to CF mid-season might be a bit ambitious

These guys in Syracuse are hitting the same juiced ball as the big leaguers only in smaller stadiums and off AAAA pitching. Let's temper the excitement.

Do you see me posting about the 30-year-olds putting up big slugging numbers?

I think a 24-year-old glove-first SS keeping his OBP around .420 is a bit different than a 36-year-old backup catcher hitting some homers

And it's not "excitement" anyways. It's "let's see what the young player who's producing can do if we're convinced the other young player needs to be moved off his position"
