Even though it's fun to make lineups in the offseason, I feel like this year in particular it's pointless because the lineup will literally be different every night. We're gonna break a lineup configuration record this year.

Todd Frazier isn't as bad as you all think he is.
It's not that he's terrible but wouldn't you rather see Alonso and/or McNeil? Lowrie.

Cano/Conforto are going to be 3/4 in the lineup. If Cespedes wasn't dead we'd have a great balanced lineup not to mention Wright.

How did a deviated septum seriously hamper his ability to play baseball? He's an older player who will no doubt fall flat for us. It's the only way the universe works.

He couldn't sleep. I'm not saying I believe that a deviated septum being fixed caused him to break out as a player, but apparently that was his issue.

In retrospect, and accepting that the Mets had no designs on giving out a 300 mil contract, losing a couple of prospects to start the cascade of moves that have been made that have markedly improved this team, player and organizational, they were a small price to pay. This team should compete as is.

Frazier is boring but fine. If you can get a good pitcher for him, do it. If you can't, he's a nice guy to have although I don't want him blocking McNeil or Alonso if they're performing
Except Frazier did that 5 years ago and has been slowly getting worse each year. Like you said we could do a lot worse when injuries pop up but I don’t think he should be a planned starter for any teams at this point in his career.

He was unable to get proper rest and recover.

Lowrie is a 4-5 WAR player at his best, Frazier is not

Also we mentioned "Frazier" 3 times, be on the lookout for MG5!

We've tossed the word "triggered" around here a lot lately but I'm not sure it applies more perfectly to anything here than MG5-Frazier
Me??

No way. Others do way more bitching here than I do. Though bros certainly seem to get “trigged” by me mentioning Frazier even when it’s in a joking manner.

I’m not even defending Frazier but the WAR metric likes him much more than Lowrie. Lowrie’s obviously been healthier lately.

I also think this team we have now can compete without any significant injuries where we lose a player for months or a season. We can get by with losing guys for 5, 10 or even 20 games especially with all the depth we've added on offense. Now if we lose one of our big 3 SPers to any significant amount of time then that would obviously be a different story unless Brodie was able to go out and make a trade for another #3-#4 type SPer.

Have you not looked at Frazier's B-Ref or Fangraphs page? Obviously he's past the point of being capable of doing that now but if he didn't forget to hit lefties last year he's closer to a 3 WAR guy than not. We should obviously dump him if someone will give us something of reasonable value for him though
