This is pretty much what it comes down to. Don't matter who we're playing unless these guys can get it together, the best we can do is win 2 of 3 when it's going to take a run like the one we had after the Giants series to get it done.

Pretty much extra innings games = loss as well.

You may as well throw Sewald in there as well.

The schedule does not line up in our favor. Whereas we host the Dodgers, the Cubs get the Pirates, the DBacks have the Marlins, Phillies host the BoSox, and the Brewers get the Padres

Anything less of 87 isnít gonna get it done in my opinion. If they can somehow trim this lead to 2 games by Monday morning they will actually be in a pretty good spot

Yup absolutely. Do that and they will have an opportunity to make up ground over the next ten games

This. I am certainly interested, but will withhold actually getting excited until/unless the Mets are 2 GB of the WC2 come Monday morning.

If that happens, the blindfold on my Mr. Met bobblehead will come back off.

That, or if they are 3 GB the Cubs with no other teams between them - i.e., they're tied with or ahead of the Brewers, D-backs, and Phillies, going into a 10 game stretch against the Rockies, Reds, and Marlins.

Right now I’m just enjoying being relevant, if they are 2 back Monday morning I’m set up to eventually be disappointed because I will think they have a legit shot

Have to sweep Arizona to have a chance 3/4 is not good enough

2/4 might as well not watch the rest of the season

88 wins and a playoff spot is what I think is going to happen based on absolutely no logic but just a gut feeling. I'm never wrong in these spots so you're welcome.

Yeah they just need 3/4 in this series.

Theyíll probably get blasted tonight, I have faith in Thursday.

There is a ton of baseball left, even though it doesnít look it.

Confident in Stroman? He’s due for a good game I suppose

Facing lefties the next two days, should be interesting to see what they do with the lineup

They've lost 4 in a row, are 3-8 in their last 11, and are starting 5.85 ERA Rick Porcello in Game 1 and facing Nola in Game 2, genius.
