The meat of their system has come from trading veterans. Teixeira for four primo prospects (including their current #1), Gagne for Engel Beltre, etc. They've had extra first rounders from guys like Francisco Cordero leaving. They have done well in IFA (Martin Perez for instance).

Overslotting doesn't really explain anything regarding Texas's system. It's a good crop of guys, though.
