Friday, June 13th, 2008According to Omar Minaya on the SNY Post-Game Show, the Mets have acquired Trot Nixon from the Diamondbacks for cash and/or a player to be named later.
Nixon was hitting .309/.437/.558 in the PCL for the Diamondbacks’ AAA team, the Tucson Sidewinders. It’s expected that Nixon will join the team in time for tomorrow’s game.

Pedro Injury Update: Strained Left Hammy
Tuesday, April 1st, 2008According to Gary Cohen on the SNY Broadcast, the preliminary word on Pedro’s injury is a strained left hamstring. He is day-to-day, but it’s unlikely Pedro will be unable to avoid the disabled list. Expect more word on the injury tomorrow after an MRI is conducted.

ESPN: Tigers sign Miguel Cabrera to 8-year Deal
