Citi Field Update 3/1/08

By Dan M. | March 1, 2008

Here is this week’s Citi Field update.  Today’s pictures can be found on the Refugees forum and Webshots.

Over the past two weeks, installation of precast risers for the upper deck seating have been completed and the canopy covers the entire length of the upper seating area.  All of the park’s seating areas are now in place, with the exception of the first rows of the concourse (field) level.

All of the steel for the rotunda area is now complete, with the frame for the top level in place, as well as the supports for the promenade level concourse above the rotunda.

Along the third base side of the park, installation of the facade is complete.  All of the light towers are also now in place, with two thirds of the lights themselves also installed.

The steel for the RF scoreboard supports and lights have been extended.  At this point, the only structural steel remaining to be installed is the supports for the LF and RF light towers and the CF scoreboard.

Behind left field, windows are now visible on the exterior of the club level restaurant.

In the upper deck seating areas, workers have begun to pour concrete for the stairs in the aisles between seating sections.

Check back in two weeks for the next Citi Field update.
