Home Run Apple Update
By Dan M. | February 22, 2008
Mets COO Jeff Wilpon appeared on WFAN’s Boomer and Carton show this morning, and was asked about the status of the home run apple.
“The apple, as it sits right now, is in not great repair. So we’re probably going to send it out somewhere to get repaired,” Wilpon said. “We’re going to see how much of it we can fix, or we’re going to make a new one.”
This should please the Save The Apple crew that the Mets’ first choice is to bring the current apple over to Citi.
