Citi Field Update 2/19/08
By Dan M. | February 19, 2008
A new batch of Citi Field pictures, taken today, can be found on Webshots and the Refugees forum. Also check out StadiumPage.com, where you can find an incredible batch of interior pictures, including shots from inside the rotunda and pictures taken from the upper and lower concourses.
Work continues at a rapid pace on the Jackie Robinson Rotunda, where the first level of precast brick arches have been installed. Steel decking for the club level above the rotunda is almost complete, and the first pieces of the top level of arched brick have been installed.
The lights have been installed on the first base side, and the third base light towers are currently being completed.
Along Roosevelt Avenue, work continues on the canopy over the upper deck. Brick work inside the steel towers near the RF corner is also nearing completion.
Four steel supports for the right field scoreboard have been installed.
At the back of the park, installation of the precast risers for the upper deck seating continues and is nearing completion.
At this point, approximately 85-90% of Citi Field’s structural steel is in place. Once the remaining upper deck canopy, light towers, and center field scoreboard supports have been installed and the rotunda is completely covered and enclosed, steel work will be complete.
