Citi Field Update 2/3/08
By Dan M. | February 3, 2008
A new batch of Citi Field pictures, taken yesterday, can be found on the Refugees forum and Webshots. Here is the latest on the construction:
Work continues on the Jackie Robinson Rotunda, where the arched brick facade is currently be installed inside and outside. Installation of steel decking for the club and promenade levels above the rotunda, is also progressing. Installation of the precast risers for the upper deck also continues behind home plate.
Along the first base line, three of the four light towers have been extended to full height.
Along 126th Street, work progresses on the arched entranceway, which now has its windows installed. Also on that side of the ballpark, the right field light towers are being installed.
At the back of the park, bricks are being layed above the first level of facade.
Continuing around to the third base side, more precast risers have been installed for the upper deck seating, and the canopy over the upper deck now reaches the left field corner.
Work has also progressed on the new subway station exit.
Enjoy the Super Bowl, and check back in two weeks for the next Citi Field update.
