News: Bedard Finally Dealt

According to various sources, Erik Bedard has finally been dealt to the Mariners in a deal centered around top prospect Adam Jones. Jones was pulled from his winter league team in Venezuela and is heading to Baltimore for a physical. Chris Tillman, Jeff Clement, Carlos Triunfel and Wladimir Balentien are amongst the other players who may be included in the deal.
It will be interesting to see what effect, if any, this has on the Santana trade discussions. I expect the Santana saga to be over by the time the Giants win the Super Bowl on Sunday.
