News: Chavez Signs Two Year Deal

Endy Chavez signed a two year, $3.85 million contract today with the Mets, according to Mets.com.
Chavez, who injured his right hamstring playing winter ball in Venezuela, is expected to be healthy by the start of spring training next month.  Chavez missed more than two and a half months during the 2007 season due to a left hamstring injury.
