Alex Rodriguez opting out is obviously the big story of the day. A few Mets officially filed for free agency, including Green, Anderson, Lo Duca, and Castillo. They aren’t able to sign with other teams until November 13th, but they are free to talk with other teams, as long as money isn’t discussed.
